In August 2008 Boomer won his first CC under Breed Specialist Mr Jeff Nannetti. At the ACD Society of Great Britain Open Show in April 2009 (from an entry of 41) he was awarded Best Dog & Best Opposite Sex in Show (& Best Red Dog) by Specialist Mrs Marian Simpson-Wyeth.
